Watch Winner!

Congrats to the winner of the Origo Rendezvous Peak watch, Robert Payne. And what did Robert say that made us choose him for this watch...well read for yourself.

"I run a lot of class V rivers and backcountry ski over difficult terrain that requires the use of a topographic map to judge location. It is always a bit of a guessing game, and it would be a lot of fun to see if the altimeter and compass matched up with the countour lines and my estimations of location. Plus, I really need a new watch."

The man just needed a watch people and that is what we here at The Outpost aim to do, give to those in need. But we only give to those in need when we have things to giveaway, so don't go asking for stuff from us. We ain't got nothin at the moment, but we should have some new contests and giveaways coming out soon, so keep those eyes peeled!

One other fact to note about Robert is that he has a blawg or blog, I don't know how the kids say it these days. His latest post is about an ad campaign that Subaru is doing that uses a picture he took of his ride after it got smashed by a boulder. Why I find this interesting is that I have a subscription to Money (baller!) and checked out that campaign on the back cover yesterday and thought it was pretty good.

Basically what I am trying to say is that its a small world. Robert was also in a Days of Thunder with Tom Cruise who was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon.

I would like to find out how to purchase a watch like this one. I am and all-ways have been a outdoorsman and I like running deep to the forest. I am plaining on going on a cambing trip soon so if you can help with that watch that would be great. I would like to pay by credit card or debit witch you prefer.
