Meredith's Ride

Meredith's Ride: Days 39 - 41

Day 39, Tuesday, June 17th, Wooster, OH to Niles, OH
I am glad the Harriette sent back my warmer clothing because I had on everything I owned this morning. Beautiful farming area and the wet weather had not effected this part of the United States.
Just a great day to ride a bike.

Day 40, Wednesday, June 18th, Niles, OH to Erie, PA
Up this morning to find low 50's temperatures and light rain. We covered 89 miles but after lunch I found the Sag wagon. Everyone had a Root Beer at the White Turkey Root Beer Stand . After that my friend Bill talked me into a ride to the hotel in Erie's downtown area.

Day 41, Thursday, June 19th, Rest Day in Erie, PA
This is my last rest day for my tour. We have one week of cycling left to make the final destination in Boston, MA.

Today is wash the clothes and rest up for the final week. We will have a lot of hills between Erie and Boston. I plan to have lunch in downtown Erie by the lake and a nice long nap.

We have completed 2,800 plus miles and the goal is 3,393. We are close.

I want to thank everyone for the comments on the BLOG, email messages and phone calls. I am ready to finish this tour and be back to Bowling Green. I miss Harriette, family, friends and Rhett Butler.

Ben will visit me in Boston for a few days then I will be home on the 30th of June.

Our van that carries all the equipment.
