It may be his backyard...but it's still an animal. Don't try to humanize it if it's a danger to us. You might feel different if it's your kid that gets eaten. That being said...I think it's ridiculous that people try to feed wild animals because they almost always end up dead. It's a real shame. Some people are idiots. But I think it ridiculous to destroy an animal after an attack.
