Loading ...As many of you know by now the week long Adventure Racing World Championship finished this past weekend in Scotland. The race was a cold and wet one from what I've read. Teams went through quite a bit to finish and any team that crossed that line deserves some respect.

In addition to the deserving podium finishes from many of the well supported international teams, my congratulations to the "privateers".
This event featured more entries than ever from teams that were really stretching themselves, just by getting to the start. And on a course that was too challenging even for the likes of BalanceVector, Salomon Crested/Butte and Merrell/Wigwam to complete, it was the courage and dedication of "the average joes" that I shall remember above all.
There are some real superstars in this sport. Most of them are still thankfully anonymous. Bless you all.
