Sibusiso Vilane is an adventurer from Swaziland Africa. He was a game ranger who dreamed of adventuring around the world. While a game ranger he met a man who helped him find a sponsor for his dream to climb Everest. He started training for his goal by climbing several peaks in his area in 1996.
Sibusiso has now summited Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Everest, and most recently Mt Vinson. While training for Everest he also summited 3 other Himalayan peaks above 6,000 meters; Pokalde, Lobuje, and Island Peak. He was the first black person and black African to summit Everest. He’s accomplished quite a bit and his website is an interesting read. He also does motivational speaking. Keep up the great work Sibusiso, and keep inspiring us!!!

I believe he is the first black man not the first black person to summit Everest. I believe a black woman has already summited.

His summit was in 2003. So, not sure how that falls in the order of things.
